There are a few car boot sales around, some are monthly, some are weekly. In my experience the best one is Callan in Co. Kilkenny. You need to be there early though. Kill has one, Tramore has a monthly one which is good, Unyoke in Wexford has a very good one. There should be a few threads around Boards about more local ones.

Tip: Bring a book or smartphone because a lot of car boot sales is just sitting around waiting for crowds. Also, if you're going to be at an all day sale bring some snacks!

    Tip: Bring change. €2, €1, 50c coins.

Tip: Don't overprice things. If you're too high people will just walk away. If you are too cheap people will haggle and you'll end up practically giving stuff away. Set a reasonable price and then add a little something on top of that, that you'd be willing to 'haggle off' and everyone is happy.

    :)
