Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is no charge for bringing a fold up bike on the train. You fold it and store it like any other luggage.

That what I assume. But I can't see that actually stated anywhere.

End of the first paragraph: "Bicycles that are folded and covered can be carried on all Commuter and Dart services with no time restrictions."

There are no fares for commuter trains, the only restriction is time unless it is a folder.

See the part about folded bikes on darts and commuters.....same applies for intercity.

Is there a fare for bringing a folding bike on a commuter train. I assume the fare is for full size bikes only. But the website doesn't make that clear. Can't find an email where I could ask and get written reply on it either.

Never been charged or had any problems with rail staff with mine anyways.

We're inferring there's no cost. But it doesn't actually mention it anywhere.

It would seem a reasonable inference seeing as they point out that there is a fee on intercity services it would suggest that if they do not point out there is a charge on commuter trains then it must be free.

Also the Rail Users Group has some more information as below which says this:

    Thanks for the link.

I don't disagree. But they really should make it clearer. I've been seeing a good few people with bikes incl full bikes. It would be handy for me. We have a folder buts its not easy to fold.
