Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BTW is anyone else having a problem when the phone roams. Mine does not revert back to 3 automatically it stays on roaming. I have to manually choose the Network Operator. I do not have mobile data turned on, I just turn it on and off when I need it.
Would it be best to leave data on all the time?

Yeah this is really annoying for me as I go accross the border for work every day. keep having to swtich it manually and cus i'm driving i don't change it until i get home or in work which is annoying for anyone trying to contact me around those times.

How do I send it? Ready to send keeps flashing.. ?

I just ordered one via mailboxde.com - used Parcelmotel for my previous ones so not familiar with the process. Not sure what you mean - are they just asking you to choose your shipping method and pay for it?

What cases and screen protectors are you using for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,391 ✭✭✭jozi

What's the screen pinch issue I keep reading about?

Is it where the screen jumps all over the place rile pinching?

It's paid, and I have the forwarding form filled out, but it's still flashing 'Ready to send'

Maybe it's just waiting to be picked up by the courier?

Just got my one today. Having fun seeing it up.

    Any suggestions or tips?

Nova launcher, turn on the onscreen buttons as easier to reach and brighter than the stock ones. Have a good play around with themes - remember you can mix and match elements from different themes eg I mainly use ltimize but prefer holo style icons.

Lose screen space so I dont see a reason for on screen buttons. There is only 3 buttons to see. They're slightly visible but with only three, very well spaced out buttons, its impossible to miss them!

That's a good price alright but there would be a good chance that the savings could be wiped out by customs charges. Also checkout this post from an opo employee. Looks like the opo you've linked to does not have the cyanogenmod logo on the back so is probably the Chinese version.

Personally I think it's better to buy direct from opo and ship via Parcelmotel or mailboxde.com which apparently is a bit cheaper. Invites are not that hard to come by with a bit of work here and/or the opo forums. I've bought 3 in the past month! Only got one sharable invite so far though and it's already given away.

Forgot to say that double tap to wake/sleep and gestures for torch, music camera work really well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,968 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

No they don't, bet he'll end up turning them off the third time he takes it out of his pocket and finds the flashlight on and the battery half dead and red hot. Same for the music player deciding to turn on at random when you're walking around.

Double tap to wake works great though, will never be able to go back to a phone that doesnt have that feature now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,513 ✭✭✭digitaldr

Never had any issues with gestures so I'd say worth a try at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,968 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

If you're using a case you're probably good to go with them, maybe I just got unlucky with the inside pocket on my main jacket, it seemed to be doing something with the phone every time I looked.

I really like my iPhone ear buds (latest ones) but the mic & buttons don't work with the opo. I've ordered this converter from eBay. Wouldn't be too fussed about the buttons (even if one works I could use the headset button controller app like I did with my Moto G) but definitely need the mic to work. If it doesn't do the job I've read that the Amazon premium headset works well with the opo.

    Well finally arrived.

The microphone works fine and great build quality but again only the middle button works so I guess I'll have to use the headset button controller app to emaulate the volume buttons. I also ordered another CTIA to OMTP 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Earphone Adapter Cable
    sku_339711_1.jpg
as it was really cheap and much less awkward than the one above. I'll post here when I receive it.

Cased now but was uncased for a good while. Also I always keep it in my jeans pocket.

Anyone using the XNPH44S Update? Whats in this one?

    Ah here it is:

Fixed issues with memory causing screen artifacts

Fixed issues with random reboots and instability

Fixed issues with WiFi and modem crashes

    Fixed issues with Filesystem

    Fixed issues with "black bar"

Fixed issues with persist partition corruption

    Fixed issues with AT&T VoLTE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,513 ✭✭✭digitaldr

Yeah been using it for the past couple of days after doing a manual update. Haven't had the black bar or any reboot s since which were very infrequent anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,819 ✭✭✭howamidifferent

Never had any problems with any version since I got my oneplus one.
But I manully updated to 44s yesterday and all still seems well.
I've never (touch wood) experienced any of the reported bugs and problems others have reported. :)

Yep, no issue. Use the settings for an sgs3. Save the APN, do not wait for it to magically save. Make sure you reboot after setting up the APN.

The phone came from Germany though. That sticker on the front looks more like one of the ones you get when importing Chinese goods. Although the only other thing I recall ordering from China is a hoodie and a jersey.

Doesn't look like a hoodie, and the jersey was only shipped on the 4th!

During the open pre-orders a while back

EDIT: And it only shipped from Germany yesterday evening!

That looks more like an OPO owner who's phone is stuck in a bootloop!

Assuming that picture isn't loading for everyone :)

Any one got an invite to spare before the pre orders?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,687 ✭✭✭Danger781

So with my phone due to arrive in the coming days, I'm looking for a phone holder for the car. Preferably one I don't need to stick to the windscreen or dash. If I could one to stick to the air vent or something that would be great.

    Anyone got any recommendations?
