Couldn't bear Donny every week, thank god he's only a guest judge.

Also as I've only properly started watching this year - is the guest judge something they do every year? Just finding it a bit bizarre that he was asked, even if he did win Dancing With The Stars (5 years ago).

Thankfully they don't have a guest judge too often. Before Darcy was one of the four judges, she was a guest judge a couple of times. But at least she was a dance professional. Having Donny on was just a disaster!

That's exactly what the paso should portray.

Seriously Donny a 9 for that paso. It was brutal. Thankfully he is only a guest judge this week.

Yeah, the whole theme and mood seemed really off.

As marian keyes posted on twitter.
Doesn't count if the 10 is from donny :)

They should put him in that bloody envelope and post him home!

Ok so we all know Donny was terrible on the show last night.
But I was wondering if his scoring had an effect on the leaderboard?

Here it is with the scores from the five judges:

Position | Couple | Score from Donny | Total Score | Points
    1 | Frankie & Kevin | 10 | 45 | 14
    2 | Pixie & Trent | 9 | 43 | 13
    3 | Caroline & Pasha | 9 | 42 | 12
    4 | Jake & Janette | 8 | 40 | 11
    5 | Sunetra & Brendan | 8 | 40 | 11
    6 | Thom & Iveta | 7 | 38 | 10
    7 | Mark & Karen | 9 | 35 | 9
    8 | Steve & Ola | 6 | 34 | 8
    9 | Simon & Kristina | 7 | 30 | 7
    10 | Alison & Aljaz | 6 | 28 | 6
    11 | Scott & Joanne | 7 | 25 | 5
    12 | Jennifer & Tristan | 5 | 23 | 4
    13 | Judy & Anton | 5| 23 | 4
    14 | Tim & Natalie | 5 | 22 | 3

And if my maths are correct :p, here is the leaderboard without Donny's scores:

Position | Couple | Total Score | Points
    1 | Frankie & Kevin | 35 | 14
    2 | Pixie & Trent | 34 | 13
    3 | Caroline & Pasha | 33 | 12
    4 | Jake & Janette | 32 | 11
    5 | Sunetra & Brendan | 32 | 11
    6 | Thom & Iveta | 31 | 10
    7 | Steve & Ola | 28 | 9
    8 | Mark & Karen | 26 | 8
    9 | Simon & Kristina | 23 | 7
    10 | Alison & Aljaz | 22 | 6
    11 | Scott & Joanne | 18 | 5
    12 | Jennifer & Tristan | 18 | 5
    13 | Judy & Anton | 18 | 5
    14 | Tim & Natalie | 17 | 4

So overall Donny didn't make a big impact on the leaderboard. Mark & Karen swap places with Steve & Ola. But what could be important is that Scott & Joanne would have had the same score as Jennifer & Triston and Judy Anton.

More to do with Kristina not being liked or popular

I'm sad to see the lovely Tristan gone

Kristina has done well in the past, I don't think she's to blame.

I think it's more down to Simon having a face like a slapped arse whenever he receives even the mildest bit of criticism.

Never watched the show but isn't there a tradition of the pro getting a leg-over the blonde female celeb partner and the story making it in due course to the front pages of the red-tops?

I'll miss the fact that he's the only one to not shave his chest... What a man!

And his wiki says he's from Bray

And it says that he was Pamela Anderson's partner in Dancing with the Stars. Learn something new every day

Kristina is one of my least favourite professional. She is rubbish at choreography and her rule seems to be wear as little clothes as possible and flaunt it around the man.
I'm glad they were in dance off might knock the arrogance out of both of them.

As long as one of Judy & Anton or Scott & Joanne are in the dance-off next week I'll be a happy out :)

    Sit the f##k down audience
It was an average cha cha cha

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 289 ✭✭Yarf Yarf

    That was high octane.

Unimpressed with Frankie's cha cha, bit of an odd song choice with it? It was ok but nothing amazing.

Mark on the other hand did impress me, can see how much he's progressing already. Edit: Although anything would be far better than the oddness from his dance last week. ;)

I didn't think that was cha cha cha music.
    Mark has definitely improved
