Eircome - Slow!

    hi there
    Ive been living in the same spot all my life
    and i havent got any better internet i could wish for.
    I cant even watch a movie, youtube or play any! GAME.. 
    because my internet speed is very slow, this is ridiculous.
    My ping is over 600-700 every day!
    What would you recommend me doing?
    Eircome is not giving my speed that i have in my package.!!!

    Download speed is : 1.42 Mbps
    Upload speed is : 0.20 Mbps

    This is just lame, from eircome....

    -Do i need to cancel eircome and find a different broadband?
