i've just turned 18 and i was working since 15 , in one pub(2hrs a week) but a year later i got another job in a hotel(4 to 12 a week) , i asked my employer will rate of pay go up to 8.65 from 6.06 ,as i get paid cash in the pub its not bad but it was put up the year before but in the hotel its still 6.06 she said she will look into it ,What can/can't she do ? i need to know as im gng college in 3/4 weeks and need living money

Bad news for you: time spent working before you turned 18 doesn't count.

You should be getting at least €6.92 until you have worked for 12 months since turning 18, and €7.79 for the 12 months after that.

Yes, this seems unfair to me. But I'm afraid it's the law. Don't be shy in telling your TD what you think about it.
