Can I set up 2 hardrives in Raid 1 independant of the C drive

Hey peps, so I have a PC which has windows 7 & on the C drive but I have a couple of other spare harddrives that I would like to use for my personal data (pictures, video's etc). I would like to setup these 2 spare drives in raid1 so I don't have to worry about losing data if one of the drives decides to die on me.
So I'm wondering if I can set the 2 spare drives in riad1 and still have my C drive working by itself.

yup. as long as your motherboard's controller supports RAID or you have a RAID PCI card.

RAID is not a backup! Always assume the worst can happen. If someone breaks into your house and steals your PC, RAID doesn't help

Yep I know, I also from time to time when I could be arsed use drive, dropbox etc
