Gardai near bank.

    was driving past the roundabout on Brownes road just up from the bank around 3:15pm.

    When several Garda cars appeared and blocked the roundabout, all the officers had vests on, immediately thought there was a possible bank robbery on.

    Anyone hear anything?

    Saw them searching a blue mitsubishi colt just inside lismore park at the roundabout the car was just abondoned as i didnt see if they had arrested anyone. This was at 4 o clock. They were goin round knockin on the doors there as i was passin back that way 90 mins later. There was a fair few of em around. Didnt notice if any of em were armed.

    Wonder what happened

    Garda was deliberately knocked down as he attempted to stop a car in the estate.
