Very unimpressed with the Australian fringe defence. Any subtlety and its undone. Very impressed with NZ's support runners as ever.

Aussie defence is shocking. I don't just mean tackling, but the defensive system is far too reliant on being tight with shooters out wide. There's no urgency to pull numbers out, and as such the abs have stopped cutting back inside and are punishing Aus out wide.

But NZ have taken advantage of the space behind the shooter a few times. Australia should have tightened that up a while ago. That they aren't adapting is whats most disappointing. Like last week the decision making on the field isn't there.

Well obviously I'm happy with that although blew one or two tries there. For Aussie toomua has defended well, but otherwise the Aussie back line is a bit all over the shop.

I've been mega impressed with crotty for a guy who has until now been seen as fringe AB material, and the usual suspects have all stood up, save Messam who has dropped a number of sitters.

Aussie need to change something at half time, I would start by bringing on Goliath, get the awful nic white off, and then maybe a few Hail Marys and rosary bead workout induced repetitive stress injuries. Would be an incredible comeback from here.

There were 3 NZ knock-ons that would have really cost any other team because you have to take your chances at this level. The only difference those knock-ons made to NZ was to lessen the margin they could build up.

I'm still confused by that rule. If it's a kick off I thought you can't turn it over when it's held up?

I wasn't fully paying attention at the time, but I remember something about being immediate, and it might not have been immediate in this case, or if it was handed off to somebody, that might also have an effect.

Was confused by that too, and resultant possible offside. The ref said something about not being in control, but I wasn't sure if he was talking about the kick or the block-down.

Nigel Owens confirmed that it is a turnover in that situation. A kick in open play is different though.

Can't help but feel this patch for the wallabies is a false positive. The AB's are coasting.

Just woke up to this scoreline. Can't believe it after all the improvement by Australia since this time last year. I still thought NZ were king but this is a crazy score.

Glad I got up for that! NZ were quite simply awesome. Just one to debate….. was Cruden a lucky boy just before McCaw yellow? Seemed a bit reckless lifting Hooper and literally throwing him to ground. Anyone else see it… sky didn't ! I've seen cards for a lot less!!!
