Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vettel was lucky he didn't get a puncture with Alonso hitting his wing

    Delighted for Daniel

If that "clean racing" had just happened to cause a broken radiator or broken wheel rim for Rosberg would it still have been clean racing?

HAM commended in Bahrain for his racing, even though Rosberg had to take avoiding action. Shoe on the other foot now
Was there contact there? This is completely different then. Nikki Lauda doesn't think much of Rosberg's driving.

Rosberg is famous for his intelligence, he is a hopeless racer however.

And you expected Hamilton to take avoiding action? Rosberg is the one who yields in that situation. Not Hamilton.

It's clean racing when one driver gets out of the way.

    Suck it up Lewis fans

    Proper order I think.

    Hamilton fan or not.

Rosberg being dirty by losing his front wing against someone else, intentional apparently. Was Alonso dirty for losing his front wing against Vettel's tyre on the last lap?

The weird thing was it was a nothing attempt at a pass. Poor driving from Rosberg.

    Says the Rosberg fan....

I don't like either of them. Today was a racing mistake from Rosberg. He misjudged a cut back and clipped Hamilton. Racing Incident.

    S. Vettels salary this year 31.7 Million

    D. Ricciardio salary 1.1 Million

I see a nice pay rise for him next season :)

That you for confirming my previous post that it wasn't clean racing today and that Rosberg was at fault.

Niki Lauda says Rosberg was completely at fault, and he wasn't calm when he said it.

And we're entitled to an opinion just as much as you are.

    Who said it was intentional?

Clumsy by Rosberg, you shouldn't hit your teammate be interesting to here the drivers

Pity Magnussan didn't let Button pass could have gotten the team a few more points, instead Vettel got ahead

The dirty/clean dichotomy generally refers to intent.

Well done Ric - Damn impressive.
Silly move from Rosberg - Boos deserved imo.
Great third from Bottas - some great overtaking out there.

What a battle at the end from the McLarens, Alonso and Vettle. Alonso fúcked this one up.

Fair play to Eddie Jordan for acknowledging and trying to calm the booing down, rather than embarrassedly ignoring it. They should get him to do the podium interviews at every race.

Thank you for being so condescending.

Of course it's not clean when two cars touch, I said ROS needed to show his fangs which he did

(Yeah I know, not entirely the same!)

The dirty/clean dichotomy generally refers to intent.

It wasn't intentional, but it wasn't clean.

Wreckless and clumsy were words I used, but definitely unintentional

Toto has just said it was "unacceptable" but doesn't seem to be partitioning blame.

His intent was good, but it only added fuel to the fire unfortunately.

Eddie Jordan was bang out of order, it wasn't his place to get involved. He then tries to appear neutral after Mercedes has openly blamed Nico.

Coulthard talking about the German GP not being sold out, more likely down to the ludicrous ticket prices than popularity of any driver.

Most other interviewers would have pretended that the booing wasn't happening. It was good to see him actually draw attention to it, rather than smiling awkwardly and ignoring all controversy - which is what usually happens in F1.

Think it was last year Brundle was doing it and Vettel was getting booed and he said "No need for that" or something similar.

Delighted Hamilton got a taste of his own medicine.

It's sad that his constant whinging in the press has turned the public against Rosberg.

Just watching his latest whinge now, he comes across as very immature.

No way, he should have at a minimum ignored it, if he didn't have the **** to agree with Mercedes and the fans.

Someone worthy of doing the interviews would have asked Nico how he felt about causing he teammates exit from the race. What Eddie did was ignore the situation.

Compare to Lewis, who appears to have been tranqulised. I suspect someone's slipped him a Valium.

I was thinking the same thing. There are still 200 points left for first places. Anything could happen in the next seven races. He needs to stop being so negative.

As someone who for the best part of a decade has watched the sport objectively and not supported any team since Jordan pulled out in 2004/5, and not supported any driver since Schumacher retired in 2006, I have to say that I find the likes of this partizan anti-Hamilton stuff quite bizarre!

Taste of his own medicine? Whinging? (Based on that interview???) Wow, just wow....

Eddie at it again, did he see any of the on-board stuff and the amount of times people spun up tyres?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,641 ✭✭✭andyman

Crofty's just pointed out that Rosberg never apologised that the incident even happened when on the podium, which is very, very unlike Rosberg.
