Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Blisters and Dry Skin

    Hey guys,

I've taken up running again recently, and specifically astroturf soccer... but I find myself with awful blisters on the sole of my feet, even skin tearing and hanging off which is fairly painful and gross.

I've been wearing two pairs of socks to try an alleviate this problem but to no avail.

I've heard using synthetic socks helps, and lubricating them before running... but haven't tried anything thus far

Anyone have any tips for blisters (Especially) and dry skin?

    Any help appreciated.

Bit alarming that. Even after a break in running that sounds odd. Sore feet and legs, but skin tearing and blistering? I assume you have cushioned runners and all is ok that end? What about applying a lubricant like aloe vera on your feet pre run?

Ah it's likely the astroturf soccer that's probably doing it the worst of it in fairness. Haven't looked into lubricating my feet but I'll do anything at this stage.

I get the same, its def from the football with the sharp turns and quick stops.
    Use vasoline.

My feet eventually just toughened up and the skin is nice and hard now!
