Biggest mistake Providence ever made is naming it the 'Dalkey Island Prospect'. What on earth were they thinking?! It'll probably eventually happen and isn't the only project earmarked out there.

Funny how the fields on the other side of the Irish Sea are ticking over nicely and have been welcomed as bringing employment and revenue to that part of England. No headline spills or dead dolphins yet there either.

This is an offshore project, Dublin Bay proper is sown up by environmental legislation (and lacks anything worth extracting other than seafood).

The difference is its off the coast of our capital city where as the ones on the other side are off the smaller towns.

I believe the kish bank wind farm plans are still progressing

Liverpool has a population of half a million, not exactly a country hamlet... But the point still remains, not one significant incidence during all the years of operation there.

Kish Bank wind farm is one option, other more unorthodox options are kicking around as well.
