Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's with these initials on jerseys? Already seen Fernandor and Albertom

Coming from Brazil, there was likely multiple different Fernandos on the same team. Extra initial distinguishes the player.

Stuck a fiver on Albertom to score first anyway. I like the cut of his jib

Lovely pass from Stevie, pity about the control from Sterling

In my opinion players should go by their surnames or whatever they made their name as originally, unless there is some sort of conflict . Looking at you Andy 'Andrew' Cole and Alexis.

    what's a jib

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭catallus

A jib is a triangular staysail that sets ahead of the foremast of a sailing vessel. Its tack is fixed to the bowsprit, to the bow, or to the deck between the bowsprit and the foremost mast. Jibs and spinnakers are the two main types of headsails on a modern boat.

Sterling is class. Liverpool's main threat this season. Crazy pace there giving Clichy about 5 yards start

    Sterling our biggest threat.

Liverpool the better team so far, although it's been tight. City probably will score now.

I'd almost prefer to play with ten men than play Johnson.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,391 ✭✭✭PhiloCypher

Coutinho not at it so far .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,496 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

That should've been free to Liverpool against Kompany.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 831 ✭✭✭daingeanrob

Coutinho not at it so far .

but you feel he has a pass in him all the same, is tracking back too

I've started paying more attention to fans' frustration with players lately. It seems highly likely that Glen Johnson and Tom Cleverley are the same person, or twins or something.

    Moreno started well

    City show some class touches.

Alan Smith must be riding someone in Sky to keep his job. Truly awful.
