Hey, I love making daily vlog videos but I really find irritating when I have to focus it manually and it makes that noise.
Is there anyway how to get the best of your videos.

I have a D300s, I think the only way to get rid of the noise is to use an external mike.

i have a nikon 7000 and when videoing always manually focus - a few times i accidentally left camera at auto-focus - and then it makes noise - I use an external mic , never the built on one , it aint no good.

plus 1 on the external mic (you can get them cheap enough), or if you can't grab one, set the camera to manual focus, set the focus as desired, get in position and record away.
