Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Be very frustrating being a Valencia fan this season. Blow very hot and cold. One game they are great going forward, and the following game they can't string two passes together. Annoying team to bet on

I think that's 24 yellow cards in Atletico's last two league games. That's a decent achievement...

That game might just have been the kick-up the arse Real needed. Imagine if they'd brought that form tonight into the Clasico! Glad to see Modric is back.

The mug on Ronaldo, the petulance never stops with him and he's a bit old for that now.

When was the last time he dug Real Madrid out of a hole when they needed him in a big game?

Well he got them out of jail tonight .;)

Real were awful ,they could have conceded 7 or 8 and it wouldnt have been flattering on Schalke who were a breath of fresh air.

I havent seen a team work the ball out from the back as well tonight since Barcelona from a few years back.
Schalke were a joy to watch ,really good football ,they were extremely unlucky over both legs ,the woodwork denied them twice .

The folly of selling Alonso is becoming apparent now ,he did alot of spadework for Real often quite cynically too.
Kroos was anonymous tonight ,see him trotting back for the fourth goal ,not a care in the world,I'm beginning to think he is a fair weather player.
The mug on Ronaldo, the petulance never stops with him and he's a bit old for that now.

    Reminded me of this guy

Do you smell what The Rock is cooking ?

Its The Rock,WWE wrestler and actor in his famous peoples eyebrow pose that Ronaldo seemed to be trying to replicate tonight

How could you possibly not recognise the most electrifying man in all of entertainment?

On topic El Classico should be a good one

You'd have to say the smart money will be on Barca to win the league that night.

They're always epic nights. Barca to win by at least a goal hopefully.

He apparently pulled a tantrum after the game and said he would not talk to the press again this season.

I actually don't hate the player and I appreciate how hard he works for his team, yes he can be a bit selfish and he used to dive a lot more in the past but he has skill and energy but there is no sense to his attitude. They won the game, he scored two goals, life goes on. These sensationalist antics are over the top no matter how he looks in briefs.

They actually lost the game, were given a bit of a lesson and if one of those chances in the last 5mins had fallen to a striker, they might well be out.

I wouldn't be as sure. Had Barcelona not messed up in 'lesser' games this season, the league would already be over. Getafe away, Malaga twice, Sociedad, Celta Vigo....

They are continuing to perform in the big games though, which is an encouraging sign.

What's going on at Real Madrid. I'm a fan and am gobsmacked at the teams recent performances. Just heard dunphy on there about a rift between the casillas/Sergio Ramos faction and the Ronaldo one.

With casillas recent performances he ought to keep his head down. They'd be nothing without cr7

Who exactly is supposed to fit into either one? It's not a squad filled with huge amounts of either Spanish or Portuguese so I wouldn't think it to be that sort of divide.

The best football they've played in 2015 has been without CR7/Penaldo.

    lol
I heard something similar about Barcelona and Messi a while ago .
Get rid of Messi was the cry

I think it was Jorge Mendes clients ,mostly Portuguese/Brazilian and the Spanish players

Perez is said to be very unhappy with Mendes influence in the club and wants to offload a few of his players
Thats one of the primary reasons Di Maria was sold,Rodriguez is a Mendes client and both couldnt stay at the club ,it would give Mendes too much influence.

The best football they've played in 2015 has been without CR7/Penaldo.

He scored 2 great penalties the other night.

The midfield is much, much more the reason that Real have not been playing good, with Modric back now it should improve the balance of the team a lot more. Nobody was saying Ronaldo was a problem when they were playing fantastic before Christmas. He needs to be less individual certainly but he's not the reason for the poor form.

    Seriously....Penaldo?

On another forum I've seen him called Stataldo.

If Ronaldo is Penaldo then surely Messi could be Pessi?

What a Start to the Sevilla v Villarreal EL game.

Sevilla 1 up after 20 seconds and then Villarreal hit the crossbar almost straight after.

    Some game at El Madrigal.

    3-1 to Sevilla.

2 up at halftime and then Villarreal got a goal.A minute later, Sevilla got a third.

Sevilla have been lethal on the counter.

Eibars stadium is a mad looking place

Looks like 4 stands randomly placed in proximity to a football pitch. Weird looking place.

    Sevilla v Elche.

3-0 Sevilla. Banega running the show in midfield.

When he's on, he's as good a playmaker as any in La Liga.

Yeah, he also took another (wasted) free kick which cannoned off the wall as well.

Benzema and Modric both playing well.
