Already posted in the cycling section, hope its ok to copy & paste it to here:

Don't think I've enough posts to put up a pic (well I'm assuming that's why I cant?)

    Help needed Tramore/Waterford area.
My late brother-in-law's Specialised Epic mountain bike was stolen by a youth from the front of Tramore Cycle Services recently, it was handed it into Tramore cycle services on Thursday 14th August for a service. It was waiting near the door for collection and an unknown young man, probably a teenager came and collected it on weds/Thursday 20th/21st and they handed it over to him. The youth claimed the bike had been left in by his aunt. My sister, has been saving this bike for when her son was finally tall/old enough to ride it. The bike holds HUGE sentimental value to my sister and her young family.
Any info to the Guards in Tramore.

I know you want that particular bike but it sounds like the bike shop owe you a bike...

try get a picture out of it, if they want to use this bike they will have to store it somewhere.

all the bikes stolen from people where I work were spotted being used in new places of work.

though some had been sold so two sets of people got stung.

Have a picture of it but cant post it here, or links to the picture, presumably because my post-count is too low.
It's on the Deise buy & sell and Staying alive at 1.5 Facebook pages to name but 2.

Someone arrange something to allow this guy to post a picture!

That shouldn't be too hard to miss!

Have a walk around Clonard Park if you are in the area.

Whatever the shop's stance on this, is quite honestly between them and my sister and I'd rather not enter into any public discussion on that side matter if that's ok. My aim with this thread and various other places this has been posted is to try and get the bike returned. We're exhausting all avenues we can think of, but one thing I will say is that if anyone can think of anywhere else wothwhile to post it up then please either let us know, or even post it up there yourselves.

    Thanks.

I know it is a bit aside from the point, but I think that's an Enduro rather than an Epic, from early/mid 2000's id guess. Might help if you're searching for it online and keeping your eyes peeled for an epic.

I get the feeling if someone payed to get it serviced then it's not the person that nicked it,and it was bought by someone else with good intentions,so if it is to up for sale again it won't be traded on the "black market" and will be advertised online. None the less it is still worth a shot having a poke around some of the known hotspots where youngfellas might congregate trying to palm off stolen bikes onto people. Keep an eye on the likes of adverts DD and pinkbike seeing as it isn't your run of the mill mountain bike. Best of luck

Ok, turns out you're bang on there. The picture posted about the place is in fact the incorrect one. It's a picture of my late brother-in-law on his older bike, a Specialised Enduro. The missing bike is indeed however a silver coloured Specialised Epic from about 2007/'08. It's a frustrating mix-up to have been made but these things happen amid all the confusion and as you can imagine is very frustrating.
If you search google images for "specialised epic 2007" the second image there, the silver bike is as close a picture of the bike as you'd get. (I still can't post pics or even links to them.)

    Thanks again.

That shop seems to be in a central location, have you trying visiting local premises to see if they have any CCTV?

Try put a wanted ad on donedeal or adverts for a similar specialised bike, if it was stolen someone may not want to advertise it for sale but be tempted by a wanted ad.
