Looking to take a tourist to see some places of interest in any of these counties. Somewhere off the usual tourist trail. Gonna take in the rock of dunamase for starters. Anything like castles, old famine workhouses stuff like that. Any help appreciated. Cheers

    1. Glendine in the Slieve Blooms
    2. The Boardwalk and the nearby deserted village (The Cones) on the Ridge of Capard. Go to Rosenallis and follow signs for Ridge of Capard.

When you are in Rosenallis go for a walk down to Glenbarrow Waterfall, lovely place for a picnic or such.

Check out the Newbridge silverware museum of style icons. Free in and a great way to spend an hour or 2 if your in the area. Check it out online cause they do have special stuff from time to time. Recently they had the original Kitt from Knight-rider.

Free tours at OPW sites on 1st Wednesday of every month so it would be your last chance to see Emo Court for free on Wednesday 3rd as it closes for the winter but I assume Clonmacnoise free wednesday would continue through the winter. Damer House /Roscrea Castle in Roscrea town is just outside your area too.
