Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sure FIFA will ensure that the right steps are taken to ensure this type of thing never happens again. Oh Wait...

What exactly would you like to see FIFA do?

Crowd to be housed in cages during the game?
Full body searches on way into stadium?

All very well to complain about FIFA, but maybe you'd like to offer some constructive suggestions on how to prevent this type of thing.

Saw the article myself yesterday. Killed because a ball went into the "wrong" net and now leaves behind a grieving family. Sickening.

I wanted to put it in a "Bad Side" of football thread but there wasn't any. A case of stupid football tribalism because people have made alliegancies with corporate entities. It's a hark back to feudal times and just like the "hooliganism" we've seen before, it's scary.

    Poor fella. A real tragedy.

Cant ever recall hearing of a player been killed on the pitch.

I agree with the previous poster, The morals of the game (players, organisations, clubs) and its supporters are warped. And for what purpose? To win? To make €? No matter what the cost. Bankruptcies, debt and now the death of a player.

Im a soccer fan through and through, and I find myself slowly turning away from the game.

    RIP

Awful thing to happen. Can't even imagine going to a football match and this happening.

    The guys poor family.

    RIP

There's no need to spend the thread going on like football is broken because of an isolated incident though
