Should be another day for the sprinters, providing they make it over the climbs. There's a bit of a kick up in the last KM, so maybe not a full blown sprint finish.

Some commnetators are suggesting Valverde or Moreno....and if they are in the mix Dan could also be

Preferered th parcours last year where they were straight into the climbing ...IS this the Vuelta or what ???

Bit harsh! It's the second proper stage & it's pretty lumpy!

According to the TV Schedule on the ES Player, Eurosport is supposed to be showing stage 3 between 14:00 & 15:45 - have they listed times in EST rather than BST.....for British Eurosport??

The website gave 15:00. A mistake on Eurosport's part!

No mention of Froome by Quintana in his Eurosport piece with Valverde when asked about who'll make the podium. Mentioned himself, Valverde, Contador & Rodriguez.

Shame for Dan not to get the win but great in terms of his form. Matthews obviously between this & the Giro is a class act.

Martin and Matthews should have had time on Purito at the finish there.

Well that is more like it.....Dan has a great finsih on him for aclimber but Matthews is the best around at the moment on those short climbs IMO....Gilbert is no where near him

Looks great for Dan for the rest of the race....I think Thursady will be his day

I knew it would be Purito/Dan/Moreno finale ...but Valverde lost time

Only catching this now lads as I had a 12 hr shift at work. Very nice stage shaping up to be a cracking GT.

So f*cking gutted I decided to swap Matthews right before the velogames deadline. Top class act. Kelderman better blow everyone to pieces on the mountains

Perfect, saving himself for week 2 no doubt. What a talent!

Apparently he nearly got penalised for hitching himself onto the team car too much. So a shame, he won't finish the race at this rate. If he lost the weight, got fitter and had some form he'd be frightening.
