Biology for the Modern World (BIOL10070) is an elective I would love to take but it says 'YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TAKE THIS MODULE WITHOUT THE MODULE CO-ORDINATOR'S PERMISSION' in the module description... Um whats the story with that? Anyone know what I should do?

I've chosen all my modules, but it says there is a time conflict between one my electives and one my option modules. Will I have to pick a new elective or is there any type of work around?

Depends. Check to see if it is a tutorial conflict. If it is, many tutorials can be changed to a different time slot. If, however, it is the lectures that are conflicting, you'll have to pick one or the other.
Cloning yourself is also an option if you have the resources, but it may be simpler to find a new elective.

I'm an incoming 1st year and one of my pre-assigned tutorials conflicts with the lecture time of pretty much the only elective I really had set my heart on doing. Would it be a big no-no to ask my school to switch me to a time for that one tutorial (if they even entertained the request) or should I just pick something else that doesn't conflict?

I've had tutorials moved before by asking in the department but it may depend on the course. Worth a try anyway.

I'm doing Science (NPF) and wanted to specialise in chemistry (Guess I should have picked CCS) but the 2 chemistry modules I need are full! They are two that, theoretically I could take at stage 2 but then I'd be deferring 4 modules until stage 2 (as they have follow on modules in semester 2 of 1st year) and I feel that would be a nightmare :( I would be happy even getting one of them so only having to defer 2 modules until 2nd year... Does anyone know if the modules will re-open or anything or there's anyway I can get them? I was actually so upset not getting them :(

Anyone else having 404 errors trying to register Arts modules? I'm trying to select ones and get the popup window saying "you must login with your UCD connect credentials" or w/e, and I click OK, and I get "this web page is not available" or 404 if I try and use the SISWeb credentials instead.

    Any help for this?

EDIT: Solved this, now getting this jumble of code when I try to register class times.

    UPDATE SFTREGS SET SFTREGS_ERROR_FLAG = 'F', SFTREGS_RSTS_CODE = 'DW', SFTREGS_MESSAGE = 'Transaction Failed.', SFTREGS_REMOVE_IND = 'Y', SFTREGS_REC_STAT = 'N' WHERE SFTREGS_TERM_CODE = '201400' AND SFTREGS_PIDM = 733253 AND NVL(SFTREGS_ERROR_FLAG,'N') <> 'F' AND ( (SFTREGS_CRN = 91893 AND SFTREGS_RSTS_CODE='RW'))

Got an email about my elective there, it says the following:
"You have provisionally registered to the following module components:
    Lectures - Offering 1 - 36225
Tutorial - Offering 10 - 76430 (No spaces available please select another)"

    What do I do? :p

You just have to go back to the elective page of the module registration section of SISweb and choose another tutorial time.

It appears module registration is closed for now. Why does it say "Module status - You have been successfully registered to this module" if my tutorial registration wasn't successful. How do I go about changing the time for the tutorial when registration is back up.

Since module registration was successful, you have a place in the module you want, you just didn't get the tutorial time you picked. From 4 O' Clock today *i think* registration reopens and you can pick a different time. To do this, you go to the electives tab in module registration, and the labs/tutorials section of this, where there should be the option of choosing a different time. All the available times will be shown to you and you just have to choose one that doesn't clash with anything else you have. Hope this helps :)
