Sarah Lil. The weather in Scotland is like here - 4 seasons in one day. It could be glorious but to be honest it could be miserable just as easily. Gleneagles is significantly further north than here so there is more chance of cooler weather. Wellies and woollie jumpers for sure together with rain gear.
Thanks Brodick, watching McGinley on the late late on rte player getting excited now:)

Actually the least I've ever been looking forward to the Ryder Cup, mostly because the US team looks like it could be pretty weak. Also think it could be a washout with it being so late in the year now with the FedEx cup. But I'd still like to be going!

USA are weak? You don't watch much golf if you think that. The USA on form player for player should win this Ryder Cup.. Poulter has been terrible all year, granted he is a brilliant match player but he is playing brutal. Westwood may as well be on the moon because he hasn't done much all year, Stenson has been very average this year, especially in the run up to the Ryder Cup which is a worry. McDowell has been woeful all year, a shadow of his former self. Rose has done nothing much this year, Sergio has played really well but he is the biggest bottler going, Dubuisson I think will be a great match-player but has done nothing the last few months, Gallagher is there on merit, fair play to him, but he is not a great player at all and he is not a great match player as he showed early on in the season.

There are 3 players out of the 12 that are actually playing good golf coming into the Ryder Cup, McIlroy, Kaymer and Donaldson. I dunno about ye but I really fancy the USA this year.

    USA look really strong.

Bubba Watson - Won the Masters, won the Northern Trust, 2nd in the BMW last week.

Rickie Fowler - Placed in every major this year, and has balls.

Jim Furyk - Hasn't won for a long time but his consistency this year has been incredible.

Jimmy Walker - Mr Consistent all year, won 3 times early in the year, 9th in US Open, 8th in Masters, 7th in PGA.

Phil Mickelson - Playing poor at the moment but can never write that man off.

Matt Kuchar - Mr Top 10.

Jordan Spieth - Exciting young prodigy with a good match play head.

    Patrick Reed - A donkey.

Zach Johnson - Game is suited to a links course, great short game.

Keegan Bradley is playing really well at the moment too....

I think Europe can win this, but there is only 1 winner if you are looking at the form all year and that is the US of A.

Getting back to the Sergio Garcia argument, he has the most natural ability you will ever see, he is up there with Rory in that respect. But he is a terrible short putter, he makes terrible decisions too. Just look at the 17th hole in the final round of the BMW last weekend, he was 250 to the pin, middle of the fairway, Par 5. He decides to lay up (would have comfortably reached) and he takes an 8... There is a reason he has never won a Major, it's not down to misfortune, it is down to his lack of composure and incompetency when the going gets tough.

He was in contention on the PGA tour on the back 9 earlier this year too. Trouble off the tee on a par 5, risky shot to the green. Takes it on, stuffs it in the water, bang, gone out of contention. Decision making was bizarre.
