Agreed. Any team relying on a combination from Smalling/Jones/Evans in central defence is going to struggle to keep clean sheets. They really needed to spend the Di Maria wedge on a couple of top drawer defenders.

This system isn't working, whether its down to the coaching, or the players not being used to it I am not certain, but the midfield don't have a hope and the defense is too flat

The United defence needs to get tighter. It's being played into the MK Dons' strikers' feet, bringing their midfield into the game. As usual, the United midfield needs to offer a lot more off-the-ball movement.
