Don't think camping is allowed in currabinny. Most of the woods I've been to have no camping signs because of fire risks.

Beachy might be more appropriate. Cape clear or glengarriff.

Id say once you don't draw attention to yourself you would be fine in binny but there might be other youndins there partying...

The beach in Inch you can camp in the Dunnes there.. The island out passed Ross Castle in Killarney is really nice you get a boat over and hell collect you.Must watch the flea bits though.. You can camp on any of the mountains or places in Killarney national park the boat owner was telling me..

Currabinny is close to city and pretty but TINY and 35 hectares its just one hill really, A lot of people there as well and dog walkers kids , not a great place to set-up camp.

Many forests and walks in Ballyhoura mountains North Cork.

Wilton Roundabout would be a fairly wild place to go camping. Plenty of green space too.

No, the Sarsfield Road Roundabout was the one to camp in, my daughter did and later a whole family of gypsies had to be evicted from there for harassing passing traffic. :pac:

Anyway that's gone now, but Wilton is not as good.

Currabinny has been largely closed due to getting an amorous name for itself from parked couples who would seemingly show off more and more and rock harder than the guy next to him ~ :o

So it's patrolled and watched by locals as well.

Haven't been in years but up by the Tea Room there is a more remote section of planted forestry that one could hide in for a day or two I'm sure.

We do have far tooooo many godam walkers in this tiny underpopulated country, we have absolutely no priority despite a relatively tiny population density.

    How are you travelling?

Somewhere with a bit of a hike and akward to get to is the only option. It stops the little bush tavern scuts from tormenting ye. Plenty of spots around east and west cork. Just take a drive and park up somewhere.

For a real wild camping experience try some half closed down/boarded up estate in Knocknaheeny! :D
