€5.70 from Kilcock to Maynooth and €4.35 from Maynooth to Dublin. The two stations are about 6km apart. That's madness.

Then IR is true semi-state fashion blame the NTA. And both say that boundaries such as this are "common practice on rail operations internationally". It's also common practice to run late night buses and trains without paying a premium fare. It's also common practice for staff on trains to enforce seat reservations instead of saying it's not their job. You can't have it both ways folks. This argument is tired - ever since Gilmore used it to defend each and every way Labour betrayed their roots.

Then the argument that it would create the same issue at a new boundary. Enfield is twice the distance at least and in a different county. So that really doesn't wash either.

What a load of rubbish. A 5min journey that costs that much cannot be what happens internationally.

What is the cost of Maynooth to Kilcock on the bus?
