We did go all out on our food/drinks for our wedding. The 2 of us are big foodies, hubby in particular and he wanted to be sure that no one was hungry at any part of our day! We had a small enough wedding and so did spend alot on food...We had mulled wine/cider with shortbread before ceremony. Champagne and canapes ( asian beef lollipops, daint beef wellingtons, haggis balls, salmon and LOADS of nice sambos!) then we had minestrone soup with bitter chocolate followed by haddock and leek tart or quail, then fillet beef and beef daube or a bass/salmon/sole bouillabaisse and then we finished with choc chip icecream/cheesecake/homemade turkish delight and pavlova mini dessert. Sorry, god I really went on one there, but it was yummy!! Lucky we got married when we did cos we wouldnt be having that now for sure! Of course some people still moaned abit, but there'll always be some. and we finished the night with specially sourced smokies and chips so everyone would be happy :)
