Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

By arguing rooney should not be captain is like arguing that orange juice is better for making tea with than water. No other player is remotely close to the honour. He is now the most experienced and the only talismanic playrr they have left.

Just because you are a good player doesn't mean you will by default be a good captain. Personally, if Rooney has good leadership abilities I haven't seen them. Not saying he hasn't got them.

He obviously is one of England's best players and when a quality manager like VanGaal picks him as his captain thats a great endorsement. The choice is not exactly controversial.

I think he will be great at swapping pennants and watching the referee flip a coin. If he gets to choose the direction to play in the first half I'm sure he will pick the right way.
