Need Advice

So I've got a G&G M4A1CM16 Carbine and I saw a friend who had a magazine grip on his m4, I thought it looked pretty good and I tried out how it felt and loved it so after waiting for a month for it to come in stock I bought one off airsoftguns.ie

I excitedly put it on but as I was screwing the screws back in I noticed that It didn't exactly fit. I tried everything and still couldn't get it to clip on right and screw in which is really weird because it was made for the m4.

After searching the web I found nothing about it not fitting the cm16 and I have no idea why it should't. I dont want to give up on it either as now that I got one I might as well get it on somehow. I even suggested buying a new body to see if it would fit. This would probably work but after looking for prices the least I would be paying for a decent body is 3 times the amount I spent on the grip

So if anyone has any suggestions or tips or advice Please ! Do tell me

Lots of people have issues with it but I think that's going to be a problem with all of these as airsoft stuff isn't strictly to spec. Seems to be a problem on real m4's too.
