It's hard to believe the device will record for up to a year on batteries but if it does it will be a handy product. I already change batteries on a couple of smoke alarms once a year so adding in a couple of Blink cameras to monitor hallways upstairs and downstairs wouldn't be a hassle.

I do think it would be useful for use in hallways and/or to monitor front and back door entrances. I'll certainly keep an eye on it's progress.
