Would ye really be that surprised to see the Giants roll through here with a victory though?

I really wouldn't. As bad as they have been at times recently, they always have the capacity to " urn it on" for a few drives/quarters and always struck me as one of the better "close game teams.

Meanwhile the Lions have some outrageously talented players and can play great at times, but also have as much capacity as anyone bar maybe the Cowboys to just completely implode during a game, and also are one of the teams I would not favour in close games. They've been kind of like the NFLs answer to Tottenham in that regard over recent years. :pac:

Nah. Lions lost 7 in a row last year, didn't they? All in 4th quarter as well.

Our D isn't as bad as it showed in 4th quarter, either.

I just don't think we have the firepower on offense to do it, though.

The o-line is under serious pressure alright

Replayed and McClain (53) was the culprit. :pac:

    Megatron continues to Megatron.

Run D isn't doing badly at all

DRC is getting burnt by Megatron, and getting no real safety help to offset it.

Stevie Brown is looking sluggish in pursuit, actually.

Great catch in traffic there, taken off by a dumb penalty by Detroit, some team for a penalty in fairness. They will keep you in the game somehow

They are only effective on the Run....

    McClain is one loud bas***d.

That facepalm penalty was the most typically classic Lions, they did do well to get into FG range mind. Agree with Grade on Tampa 2. You need SERIOUS speed and positioning like a Kuechly/Urlacher type over the middle to make that work correctly.

Gave up an easy 14 yards there to hand them a FG opportunity. Annoying when they were on 3rd and 25 and we needed to force a punt.

Big Hank mightn't show up much on the stats sheet tomorrow but I have been so impressed with him so far, be interesting to see his conditioning now as that was a big knock on him coming out of Ohio & this is by far and away the most snaps he has played for us

    Wow that was ugly

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Chance here before the break, wouldn't say no to a FG

The Lions love to mess it up for themselves. A quick score here, even 3 points, will be a huge momentum/confidence shift. Trust me Giants fans, the Lions get impacted a lot more than most by that kind of stuff.

Wow. from hitting two 53 yarders against the Bills to that pathetic attempt. Facepalm.

I trust our offense more in the 2 minute drill, than I do at any other time.

So... Final nail in the optimism coffin would be a pick 6 right now.

There are few things I hate more than those pointless three yard passes over the middle with no space inside a 2 minute warning.

Should be coming away with 3 at least here, big conversion there

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

    Donnell coming up big

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Going to say this quietly so as not to scare it away but

O line is getting bullied big time

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Ansah is killing, absolutely killing, Beatty.

Big waste from Big Blue, there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

God Beatty is being abused by one & all, once Schwartz is back we need to kick Pugh over to LT with Schwartz at RT
