    Hi as the title says, I've a Wells Gardner 25K7191 arcade monitor that needs repaired.

    It's suffering from vertical collapse (horizontal line).

    This happened when I blew something by stupidly (really stupidly) plugging in a JPAC JAMMA connection board in reverse.

    Anyway, I noticed a burst CAP on the board so I took it out and recapped the whole board with it's proper cap kit and I also put on a brand new flyback transformer.

    When I plugged the whole thing back in, I still had the vertical collapse problem.

    A few threads I have read have now suggested that it could be some transistors or some IC's or even resistors.

    I'm in over my head now and I really need to get this working, so I am wondering if anyone knows where I can send this board for repair ?

    I'm having trouble finding somewhere that will take it.

    thanks

    There's a guy over in the UK listed on Arcadeotaku.com called Grantspain who seems to be the one to go with. Few lads here have sent off chassis and they've come back fixed for a reasonable sum.

    Here you go;

    I'd say you'd probably have better look contacting him by email. The last time I contacted him through arcade otaku and he responded fairly quickly.

    I think he's on a couple weeks holidays at the moment.

    that bleedin' site has still not sent me the verification email. and it's not in spam, requested a few and checked addresses.

    don't suppose you just have an email for him ?
