With winter coming (and drivers getting more and more idiotic as the evenings draw in), we're considering getting a turbo trainer. Wondering what you guys recommend - saw this on Wiggle and thought it seemed ok, but just want some advice :)

We are looking to spend under £200 - we'd like something relatively basic, but that won't fall apart quickly with 2 of us using it. We live in a first floor apartment so noise is a factor. Floor is carpeted but we can stick yoga mats under it.

I find the Tacx a great machine, can't fault it really. Word of advice though, put a sheet of plastic under the yoga mats or your carpet will be minging from sweat in no time.

tacx or minoura are a good make, have had a tacx for years and use it the whole time and its never let me down, not such a big fan of the kurt kinetic trainers though
