Do any of the smaller tents (like in B&S) do an indie disco?
It'd be pretty sweet. A lot of the RBMA / CB stuff doesn't appeal to me anymore and the cheesy silent disco isn't my thing either.

    Trailer Park at some point!

Wondering the same as I'm travelling down m7!

we're coming from dublin to carpark z, gona come off the M7 at junction 16, exit toward r445/N80/Carlow, and taking the round about at the 2nd exit, that will bring us on to the N80 straight towards stradbally

Strangely Sunday is my weakest day where it was prob
my busiest last year! I'm not massive fan of Florence
and haven't heard anything by Paul K/Tame Impala just
going off the hype here! i'll give them a listen.
MK is prob my only lock for the sunday :D

I've a couple of clashes mainly that one with Chvrches/Hot Chip/Mos Def
which could have nicely filled in my other gaps!

    It's on pablos app.
Search the play store for electric picnic, then download the one by pablo android.

    It's on clashfinder too.

I see it now, thanks. No sign of Neil Hannon's slot though

I had competition tickets last year and wasn't allowed in the usual gate where get dropped off by bus from town. Ended up having to get a taxi and big walk to abbeyleix gate!

we had donation tickets 3 years ago and had to pay 60 euro each so you may need to bring extra money incase they're still doing that, you have to go to a seperate box office, the money went to charity

Neil Hannon is on in the My Lovely Ranch stage. No time given on the EP website and I don't see the stage on Clashfinder.

Can't imagine the meet up is going to go too well considering most on here will be at Booka Brass Band at 5pm on Friday...

Going by your listings, you might like Alvvays on at 4.45 Sat.
There's Django Django / Jape / Ms Mr / Jack Garratt on Sun that should suit your tastes too.

Wrote about a few acts I'm looking forward to seeing here if anyone would like to read/listen. The Sunday is looking like it will be a hectic day for me!

In an ideal world I'd get to see the following..

    Friday:
    The Reflex - Casa Bacardi @ 8pm
Joey Negro - Casa Bacardi @ 10pm (first hour)
Underworld - Main Stage @ 10.30pm (last hour)
    Paul Woolford - RBMA @ 02:00am

    Saturday:
    Hot Chip - Main Stage @ 8.30pm
Blur - Main Stage @ 11.30pm (first hour)
    The 2 Bears - Little Big Tent @ 00.15
    Despacio

    Sunday
    Jurassic 5 - Main Stage @ 3.45pm
    Kellyanne Byrne - Casa Bacardi @ 4.30pm
    Maurice Fulton - Casa Bacardi @ 6pm
    Plutonic Dust - Body&Soul @ 7.45pm
    Jackmaster - Casa Bacardi @ 10pm
    New Jackson - RBMA @ 00.30am
Mother DJs - Body & Soul @ till close

But it never ever works out as planned!

Getting down early on Friday morning unlike previous years where it has been later in evening .
Thus more choice where to park up .
So any advice on where the best spots to pick are ?

Safe travels to all going .

I will just assume everyone at Booka Brass Band is a boardie and will try to make every one uncomfortable by launching into conversations as if we have been friends for years.

One of 'em is bound to be a boardie

If you are staying in campervan field you dont have a choice where you park, they just direct you in to organised lines as you come in.

just click on the act and it will highlight them.
in the controls on the top right, you can change between 4 different colours depending on importance, or people's tastes, etc.

Heard aldi have camping gear..... Worth checking out for those still looking for chairs etc.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,882 ✭✭✭frozenfrozen

and if you use more than one colour you can split the act into segments so you can have green as your watch this part and leave when pink starts etc

I just saw the line up there, does anyone else not think that its utter crap?

  • Registered Users Posts: 183 ✭✭PadraigOK

Well aware I won't see a few of the acts on my list (because they clash with others on the list and because plans at the Picnic are generally forgotten about) but I'm going with the best intentions in the world.
