They recorded new material early this year and have a new single "Space Hopper" for release in March. Have not heard any of the new material but they have played recently the at Roisin Dubh (Galway) and mates of mine reckon the gig was quality. There on my to see list for sure if they play EP

The album will be out late summer probably just before EP. The new track Space Hopper was played on Dan Hegarty's 2FM/2XM show last week and seemed to go down really well... it's almost ready to go but the video has to be shot so expect to see/hear it soon. There'll be some remixes of tracks out.

King Kong Company are in The Button Factory on Easter Saturday - expect to hear Space Hopper and a few other new tracks there first. Besides working on an album over the last few months there's a new stage show too :)

By 4am in the Woods my body has absolutely nothing left to give, if it went on another 2 hours my legs would actually buckle!

The RBMA announcement is pretty much what I'm waiting for now, there's enough regular acts announced that I like to keep me happy...now I want some techno :D

Would love to see any of George Fitz, Hot Since 82, Skream, Maceo Plex or above all get Ben Klock back there!!

I'd say we are due an announcement next week hopefully, it will have been a month since the last one.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Makes sense that they would make an announcement to help shift the last of the early bird tickets before end of April. Id be interested to see what nostalgic bands get booked for the weekend. They are always the hidden gems for me that make me dance and giggle..

I think Sufjan Stevens would be a nice addition, the new album is very good.

Yes, it's a pity there is only one stage at EP so one is forced to see a band they don't like.

presume they mean a regular multi-stage weekend "festival", rather than a multiple venues in a city over 3 weeks "festival"

    Blur

    Mumford & Sons
    Prodigy

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,461 ✭✭✭Queen-Mise

I would choose Blur, if we cannae get Blur, Prodigy. No to the other two, if the other two will go to the opposite end of the festival.

Nope back together . Id say there is a decent enough chance of Riptide Movement

Suppose with neither of the 4 announcing an Irish date this summer its a toss up

    Blur would be great.
New Prodigy album is dreadful, so no. Other two bands are just awful in general. Please no.
