It's meant to be a live performance, so you would expect it to be different to the recorded version. Nobody is saying that he should rap and sing at the same time, that can occur on a recorded version for the album or single, but if performing it live, then have a singer, or somebody to perform backing vocals when performing it live.

He is using a backing track with some of the original lyrics also included. There is also pre-recorded auto tune and vocoder. Not good in my opinion.
