This is great Sunday evening stuff. Nice and chilled.

As always happens when watching Glastonbury, I'm left wondering what sort of enjoyment people standing in an open field 1.5 kilometres away from what must appear to be a matchhead-sized stage are actually deriving from the experience.

Looking forward to Paul Weller at 8 on BBC4

A lot more enjoyment than you're getting from sitting 10 feet away from a 32" TV.

I love how guys like Lionel Richie inject a little rock into their Glastonbury sets, and not just turn up and expect their reputation to carry them over the line. It's great to see a man of his age doing his homework and putting in the work. Delighted for him.

Im watching Lionel on BBC2 now for the last 2 minutes, and he's already 100765 times better than Sweaty Ken!!

A proper show man, has the crowd in the palm of his hands!!

    Has he sung 'Hello' yet?

I'm not sure what kind of day I was expecting when I woke up this morning, but I certainly wasn't expecting to turn into a Lionel Richie fan. Is this what my mother feels like every Sunday?

Have to doubt that, considering that even at considerably smaller festivals, when you're standing far back from the main stage it feels more like you're waiting in an enormous queue than enjoying yourself at a music gig.

any idea of the chem bros setlist?

Did anyone check out Todd Terje yesterday?

There is a 19 minute section on the BBC website, first 4 minutes is campy/kitsch fast show Jazz Club, but the next 15 are amazing.

Electro synth pop but with a band backing him.

Edit: Ggrrrr, if the website stopped crashing I could probably easily work myself up into bursting into tears listening to the last 15 minutes.

    Also see Irish flag with

"Hello is it me your looking for?" on it. Fail

Do you honestly think that all of those people are paying close attention to the music? No, they're drinking and laughing and chatting to their mates, with Lionel bloody Richie banging out tunes at the other end of the field. It looks like a great way to pass a few hours.

Full sets from this weekend available to watch here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/group/b007r6vx?page=1

(watch from the UK, or outside the UK if you know what you're doing.)

The BBC have done an amazing job of covering it. Very impressed and so much to enjoy.

It depends. When you see her on a Sunday evening is she dancing on the ceiling?

The sound is unbelieveable and lionel is in good form. He's lost some of his very top notes but he's able to cover it up well.
