Google Chrome 37 keeps freezing

Hi. Chrome updated itself to version 37 and immediately started giving me problems. When I click on it to open it, it keeps freezing and saying not responding on the first tab. If I do manage to get it open, it freezes when I try to open a second tab. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, tried the 64bit install as well…

It's making the browser unusable.

Does anyone have any ideas please or has encountered this before?
