    Hi all,

So have suprisingly gone sale agreed on a property we really like. Getting solicitor/valuer/surveyor all in place at moment. Do most people normally pay the booking deposit for the property first to the estate agent before they may have a solicitor in place? Its a very well know estate agent so no major concerns but just wondering.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Yes pay it. The house is still on the market until you pay a booking deposit.

Congrats Chris85, we are just finsihed buying!!

One piece of advice starting packing when it starts to look final, we had a crazy few days of packing and moving, we got keys within 24 hours of exchanging contracts (this is not the norm)

Have fun and this forum is definitely the best source of info!!

Thanks a lot. Very exciting times. Luckily we are only in a 1 bed apartment last couple of years so don't have a lot of stuff but we will be packing as soon as we are happy it looks final.
