Mum living in UK - best deal

    Hi -

    My mum lives in the UK and is racking up a big bill each month just texting her brothers and sisters here in Ireland. I have tried to convince her to use skype / go down the route of whatsapp etc but that is a bit too technical for her.

    ideally it would be an irish network so they can text her for free and she could pay some kind of bolt on to get unlimited text in the uk to irish mobile but not have to stump up 20c or something per text as she currently is.

    Any thoughts / help would be appreciated - it doesn't matter what irish network.

    Get someone to show her how to use WhatsApp. Once set up its basically the same as sending an SMS.

    thanks for the tip and totally agree but she has a phone that has snake on it (ok maybe not quite that old but a simple nokia one).

    + her brothers and sisters would have to have whatsapp and that is not an option.

    Fairly sure that has a max stay limit of 60 days or something - can't find the Irish T&Cs - so it'll stop working.

    Three UKs T&Cs are the below.
