We're paying for "up to 24mb broadband". We get 1.7mb and our line can handle 4mb according to a person on the eircom live chat and she said to contact support for ways to improve our speeds. Any advice?

If you would like to PM me your landline number I can check what speeds your line is set to and check for possible improvements.

    Thanks

    Hi davidmc95

In the pre-qualification tests for your line results showed that due to the distance of the line from the exchange the max speed it can hold is up to 4MB. The term 'up to' is used as 4 can't be guaranteed and in your case it was deemed that 2MB is the max you line can safely hold without experiencing frequent connection loss.

There may be an option to attempt to increase the speeds to 3 or even 4MB however this is at the discretion of technical support who's decision is made based on tests they can run. Please contact technical support on 1890260260 to request the increase to 4MB and feel free to mention this correspondence.
