windows 8 and login problems

    Hi,
    I recently bought a laptop with Windows 8 and everything went fine when setting up for first time, set up log in password and other stuff. I eventually got round to signing up for an outlook.com account. That was fine too. I then didn't use the computer for about a week.

    When I went to use it, instead of the usual windows login screen, the login screen for outlook appears. But, silly me, I have misplaced/lost the password I used when setting up outlook, with the result I am now locked out of my laptop :o

    I have tried searching to see if there is any way to get back to normal login, but no luck so far.

    Has anybody any idea what I might be able to do?

    have you been to outlook.com to reset your password

    Thankfully I managed to locate my outlook password, so all ok again.
