Do you know the farm? What's the land quality like

The yard looks to be huge!!

I know the farm. It's on a big hill and it stands out for miles around as its all fairly flat land around it. There is also a massive quarry dug in to the side of it. It is serious quality land. There would be no need for any lime anyway :) There is also a big yard in it. Can easily take up to 1000 cattle. However most of the sheds in it are about 15-20 years old.

A few nice April born heifers, not the best pic of them.

Powerful calves, do you breed your own replacements or buy them in?

Mostly our own, Have bought different ones over the last few years but very few seem to make the cut or work out. Hard to beat your own breed where you could trace back a few generations I guess.

She has the head down the whole time.

All bone the first time but there was a great shape

What had her in that condition in the first place, what strikes me about your photos is the arse on the left and the cow on the right, nicely done animals.

I have absolutely no idea, she was getting 3kg of nuts a day, tried a few different types but nothing worked. Removed the calf at 5 months and all. She was fully dosed, got multivit and copper injections and got scour powder for a while too as she was a bit watery. I've an inkling that her stomach was out of whack and the silage wasnt being processed right cause once she hit grass she piled weight on.

Aye those two are more our normal cows, fatsos! The cow on the right is actually 11 years old, has a super heifer calf off crossmolina Jupiter this year.

Here's that Jupiter calf from the cow on the right above. Basically a better version of her mum!

Nice calf which is a trademark of Jupiter.
I guess she's a keeper when you'd put an expensive straw on a commercial

Is he gone expensive now? I only paid normal price (€30 for ai call out) for him last year & earlier this year, put same straw on the cow again.

Do cows go straight out or back around? Cow flow when they go straight out is brilliant. Mine must turn 90 degrees and it slows em up

You gotta love the kind of people that do this. Too lazy to take off the plastic off a dumped bale.
