    How are the FTY calves going on for you now jdi?? Are they good shapey calves. would you use him again have a few to heifers to bull thats why im asking?

    I had fty bul from heifer, big calf, hard pull with jack, HCA is good easy Calver

    Tanx. Ya they do same man around here dose it for most breeds. I know he looks after sim ch bb lim anyway.

    How did the calf turn out? would you use him again? calf shapey? i had a couple heifers this morning i put them incalf to kez and ozs, there strong heifers round the 500 mark coming up on 2years next spring

    1 smashing heifer calf alright. Had to do a section on a springer though for a large heifer calf so no longer sure he's suitable for maidens. 2 more heifers overdue....

    he was a nice calf, good shape and long legs, she was a 30 month old simx heifer but he was too big for her,

    +1 on that, he is not suitable for maidens and would not use on them again

    Lad? she's about to go into the parlour. Her monster calf of six weeks is the one standing behind her.

    And I better do something about that headgear. It is "incompatible" with my new mangers.

    Sorry bad joke! Twas the horn l was referring to! :)

    l see a neighbour with a load of replacements with lumps of horns too. I was surprised at him until I copped they were bought in.

    In this case I have to take the blame completely. In my defence I might say she is a very errant heifer and she managed to escape de-horning by nefarious means.

    It was probably the same nefarious behaviour which led her to escape and get herself knocked up by the local stud while barely a teenager - she won't be two years old until the end of February and she had that lump of a calf behind her six weeks ago.

    If a heifer could have trouble written on her head it is her.

    Still, we have a soft spot for her, and in a certain light she has quite an attractive look.

    They all come that brown and Curley . Ya can spot them a mile away in the mart.
    Have one this year and she a bit crazy. Another one due in February hope fully a better quality.
