That's because the most of the posts are ringing wet when they treat them, no space to take it in.

Aneighbour asked me to collect a load of post for him years ago, it was from a guy that sold forestry thinnings. He had a big platform made for corrugated iron and a gutter along the end into a tank, he'd put the stakes up on this and used a watering can to put the preservative on the stakes.
There was a young fellow using the watering can and I remarked that it wasn't really pressure treated, He just said 'I don't know about that but I'm under pressure when I'm doing it''
I'd say they weren't worth putting up

    Watch this video from 10:45;

Not in a million years would I go over to a freshly calved cow like that.

Shed could have been killed or injured for life all for a couple of animals worth around a grand.

You would think that a woman would be smarter than a man and not take stupid risks like this.

All good things come to an end. This lass was a famous show cow down here one time. I only bought her as a cull.

Hope it OK to post this question here.
I have a young CHx bull calf who's mother CHx X BB cow has no milk at all. Calf is not thriving as expected. What's the best plan?
    1. sell cow and calf seperatly now.
    2. Rear calf for a while on milk replacer till looks saleable and put a bit of flesh on cow.
    Thanks.

Considering the trade for cows and calves at the minute, I would sell them both separately. That type of calf needs a good do with milk which is very difficult to do with milk replacer. A lad would buy him to either replace a lost calf or double suck and he would fly.

He's by Excel (Lm4027) from Bova. Picture is a bit misleading, as she's a small cow. He's 9 months, but cow is due again in about 6 weeks again. He's gone a bit lame, so I held of weaning him.

Nice looking animal. Looks to be a bit of power in him. Is he pb?

Ya, he's PBR. Extremely quiet too, considering the mother is a bit flighty around strangers.

    Last years lockdown project.
About 3 acres that's been neglected for years, always meaning to do it but just never got round too it. So with the weather being good last April and the digger was onsite digging out the shed, we bit the bullet and decided to tackle it.
It was dens of briars bigger than the tractor and big clumps of rushes. It only needed a couple of drains pulled in it, but you couldn't have walked across it without breaking your ankle, never mind drive on it.
Sprayed off the rushes, dug out the briars and scrub and then dug over the rougher parts and gave it a good discing with a set of heavy discs.
Limed it, sowed it out and re fenced the whole thing. Hey voila a new field that is being cut for silage today.

I'd say your's will turn out something similar. Tis a satisfying job bringing ground back into production, despite the cost.
