    That's the issue I'm playing with. Good prices now or let them put on more weight and take my chances later on in the year

    My attitude has always been - sell when prices are high (take your cut), buy when prices are low (in anticipation of making a killing) and pray that you have enough to keep going in between :rolleyes:
    Only time I ever got caught out was the beef crises of 2013/2014. Had too many factory ready stock and no outlet :mad:

    She's LM (UBY) of a BBX. dam had lots of milk, but not as tall.
    Would it be a waste of a good Milker?
    The sire is from a good milking herd

    Nowhere near as good as your heifers! Um, let me think a sec.....he's a pb. Cow is off PAM, grandmother is Navarin. Sired by ere. So may be difficult to sell re calving. He's a wally!

    When you say KOY, I assume you mean Kilboy Frank. I didn't realise that he was still on the go.
    Never used him as he was too short for PB's.

    Ya kilboy frank (KOY). I have a few straws of him left with my ai man but I'd say there are very few straws left. This heifer has incredible length but her grand mother is a Maine Anjou who is a couple of feet longer than any other cow I have. Maybe that's where the length comes from and nothing to do with the bull.

    Was just in touch with my AI man, he has a...A....straw left. Better find a fertile cow.....
