One of my 2 pbr lim bulls out of kjb. He is 4/5 stars, about 420kgs and easy calving. Only 13 months old so he has a bit of growing up to do.

Second bull by Virginia Andy, similar stars etc as previously picture. Nicer bull,
Smaller head. Hoping these two will be worth a few quid in the spring.

I was never a Charolais fan but I do appreciate a nice animal when I see it. IMO he shows excellent length - nice to see it nowdays in modern CH breeding. What is his front end (shoulders) like.
Early last year I photographed a pbr Pirate bull for a elderly neighbour who keeps a few pbr's that wanted to advertise him on Donedeal. I don't know what his breeding was but as a potential purcherser I would be very concerned about the width of his shoulders.

God if they were making 500. Ye'd be saying they were too cheap and suckler farming was doomed.
They were obviously run up by other bidders as well.

I agree with ye but hard to please yous.
    Typical farmers.:D;)

There's good money in suckler farming.:P

Thats the thing,a good springer, cow and calf or bulling heifer was hard bought!. Even with the bad beef price,a real top weanling was making a good bit which was prob helping things.

Well it is an annual sale, so I guess there's repeat customers.

    That was some clip patsy.

Bet they don't have no French equivalent of Glanbia and Bord Bia inspecting their milking parlour.

Probably sell the milk for 60cents a litre too.:p

Considering I picked up a pedigree cow with a heifer calf at foot last month for less then some of them I think it's hard to justify those prices

I bought a PB registered Lim cow springing to calf afew weeks back for 1500. She's no show stopper but still.

Spotted a weanling with this hole behind the top of his shoulder a few days ago. Nearly an inch deep and round. Any chance it was a warble that caused it? I hadn't take any notice of a lump there before but it could have been there without me noticing. It doesn't seem like a cut to me. Would it want to be stitched aswell because it doesn't seem like it's going to close up itself, there's a big hole in it.
