He's gorgeous. I think that he, like all the best cats, is a moggie rather than a pedigree.:)

Probably just a long haired tabby. Unusual looking though. It may have some pedigree in it

Someone on this forum might be able to suggest someone in your area who could trap neuter and return him to you. It'd stop him fighting with other toms, fathering kittens and by stopping the fighting it'll help prevent him picking up diseases from other feral toms. They thrive once they're neutered and are a lot happier in themselves once they lose the urge to breed.

He looks like long/medium-haired classic tabby to me. I don't think his coat is full enough to classify as a Maine Coon, a Siberian or a Norwegian Forest cat, which are the breeds he looks most similar to. He's a not pedigree imo, but he's a very handsome cat!

He certainly is a handsome fellow, beautiful eyes. I too think he's a long-haired tabby and the tail being bushy towards the end might be due to his tough outdoors life. If he's struggling with fleas for example and is sensitive to the bites, the fur can thin out on the tail like that, a spot-on treatment from the vet or chemist might help in any case, IF you can get close enough to apply it that is, they don't like to co-operate in my experience. :( Good on you for feeding him though, that's half the battle.

He's a gorgeous semi longhair classic/marbled tabby moggy I would recon! Could be some pedigree in him somewhere along the line but I always wonder with these moggies that have some pedigree resemblance, is it that there is some pure pred parentage along the line or are they simply like the cats that breeds were originally developed from? I can see certain breeds in my moggies, dude is very like a Bengal in personality and with the glittery coat,
Cream has the facial features of a Burmese, but they are 100% pedigree mogs :)
