Cone of Shame

I'm putting off getting my 14mth old male lab 'done' because I can't bear the thought of him wearing the cone of shame. He is the most active chap you could imagine and the thought of this thing on him is breaking my heart. 2 questions, if you don't mind a)how long is he expected to wear it? b) are the alternative…

Thanks, the lady in the rescue centre where I got him suggested a cod liver oil tablet every day and it works a treat.

beautiful dog. hopefully he will be feeling better tomorrow. Keep him quiet and lots of tlc til hes back to normal.
