    Hi there
I'm looking for suggestions for a wedding band for September next year. We want a group of proper musicians who will pay a good mix but not cheesy songs like summer of 69 etc. We loved the sound of the hit men trio but they are sadly not available so any suggestions for a group along the lines of them would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I got married at the start of August and hired Soul Driven from cork to play. We requested no typical wedding cheese but plenty of jazz funk and soul. They are a very tight, slick band. Absolutely loved them. There are a few youtube videos of their performances but they really don't do them justice. Totally worth the money.

    The lols.
they did the macra rally last October in Carlow.
they were absolutely fantastic! they did everything! At one stage we thought the dj had started but it was actually the singer. He was so versatile, could sing anything. they do weddings too.
I couldn't do them justice here.
    definitely worth checking out :)

Good bunch of lads, played a whole pile of old and new stuff - anything we wanted basically.

We got a band called The Covers, they were absolutely top notch.

This is a selection of some of the songs they do...
    massive attack safe from harm
beatles come together/twist shout/here comes sun
    kinks all day/night/really got me
    bowie ziggy stardust/starman/rebel rebel
t rex get it on/20th century
    stones satisfaction/brown sugar/paint it black
    police /message in a bottle
    doors people r strange/roadhouse/LA woman
    van morrison gloria/moondance
spencer davis group keep on runnin/im a man
    hendrix watchtower
    fleetwood mac oh well
    the band the weight
    j cash folsom prison
    stone roses water fall
    blur girls & boys
    the jam town called malice
    the clash london calling
    primal scream rocks/movin on up
    strokes last night
james brown sex machine/i feel good
    gil scott lady day
    marvin gaye grapevine
ray charles i got a woman
    stevie w superstition
    bill withers use me
    white stripes 7 nation army

They had the floor full all night, and none of your typical cheesy crap you'd usually get at a wedding.

PM if you want their contact details.
