Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have you tried the Transport for Ireland Cycle Journey Planner? It gives options for an easy route, a direct route and a balanced route.

The easy routes sometimes take you on circuitous detours that aren't entirely logical, but I find the direct option generally works pretty well.

Depends on whether you want shortest, easiest (not always the shortest), safest, longest etc.

Initially, I would go straight thru Glasnevin, Phibsboro, down to the Quays, Parliament St, Same St.
Longer, scenic, Santry, Finglas, Cabra, Phoenix Park, Islandbridge, Sth Circular Road, Camden St...

I'd say Ballymun road, Mobhi road, Botanic road, Phibsboro, Church St,
along the quay to Grattan(capel st) bridge, Parliament st, left onto Dame st.

Dominic st is closed/messed up with the luas works, if /when it is open I'd swing left from Constitution hill and down Dominic st, then bolton st, capel st ot Grattan bridge.

Going back, I'd say going down through temple bar, across the millenium bridge, shuffle to Jervis st, then Parnell st, Capel st, Bolton st, turn left a the black church/Maldron hotel/waxie Dargle pub, then Mountjoy/Berkley st. to NCR. Cross NCR to the library beside the Joy, go to cross guns bridge and home by harts corner, botanic road ( botanic gardens , met office) to Ballymun road.

Have you a better suggestion than a straight line? For all the experts like yourself, I mean.

try a few different routes. You might find you like one more than the others.

It's always good to try different routes - some might have more traffic lights or less hills. It's always good to mix things up as well to stop you getting bored of the same journey, or to have a more direct route if you're short on time
