Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ideal Water Pressure?

Irish Water were recently around where I live and I prevented them from installing a water meter, peaceful protest FTW! I have now connected up to an existing private group water scheme and have requested disconnection from the Public Irish Water Supply as it appears they would still try to bill me at a flat rate otherwise.

I was abroad when the switch was carried out and when I turned on the new water supply from the private group it proceeded to lift the lids on the toilet as there is huge pressure in it, basically the power of the water in this thing is huge as it comes down from the mountain nearby.

Thus my plumber came back and fitted a regulator and set the pressure to 3 bar, I quickly got sick of this 3 bar pressure as our Council mains was stronger and I increased it to 4 bar with an allen key, which is about the same as we had before on the Council mains.

I'm just wondering what is the highest safe pressure? obvisiously without the regulator it would be too high and unsafe but there would be the odd time like when powerwashing the yard or house that I could do with even more pressure to keep the water barrel for the petrol washer filled. I'm actually quite happy with 4 bar pressure but am just wondering whats the highest pressure people have seen here?
